Single Primary Meanings: Ephesians Chapter 4
~ There is one Body of Christ, I am called as a member of that body- and to use the measure of grace given to me by Christ to edify and build the body. Also, by this grace I can and have been commanded to change from my old ways which were corrupt and be transformed in my mind to be a prosperous part of the body by putting on Christ-likeness in the bond of unity and peace.
~ We as the body of Christ are to be unified in our lives together as we walk and love Christ-like lives that exemplify Christ's work in us. All these commands are things we can do only if Christ is truly in us. We are encouraged to maintain unity as believers by using our gifts that have been promised to help build the church and to grow our individual walk as Christians.
~ Believers have been called to be unified in one body, the church, and have been given a diversity of gifts to be used to help each other grow in this unity and in maturity in Christ. We are called to put off our former corrupt way of life and to demonstrate the new life that we have in Christ by loving one another and forgiving one another as God has forgiven us.

Single Primary Meanings: Ephesians Chapter 5
~ God wants us to be light in this dark world, redeeming the time, by following his pattern for our actions, thoughts, behaviors, and marriages.
~ Christ would have the church to be sanctified and cleansed- that is, separated from the world in how they behave and act and be clean from the guilt of sin by the washing with the Word of God.
~ We are able now to walk in love and light because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. The Holy Spirit gives us the understanding of the will of God, and if we yield to Him, He will fill us and produce in us His fruit of goodness, righteousness, and truth- allowing us to submit ourselves to each other in reverence to God and for the unity of the church.
~ We are to mimic Christ in love and light, and in wisdom as children, saints and kings, allowing the Spirit to work in our lives to make us joyful, thankful and submissive, whereby creating Christian homes that resemble an ongoing painting of Christ's relationship to the church.

~ Be submissive to authority as unto the Lord, standing strong with the armor of the Lord, always praying.
~ "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of the Lord." We must submit ourselves to the Lord.
~ We should serve others as servants of Christ, doing God's will from the heart. We need God's Word of truth and the faith that he has given us to withstand the devil and all of the evil that he throws at us.
~ Putting on God's full armor- along with praying earnestly to the Lord- makes me able to stand against the wicked one, the devil. I will be able to defeat the fiery darts he launches in my direction. God's armour gives strength in righteousness, peace, faith, and boldness to use the sword of the Spirit (God' Word) in my witness to others.
